I think the colour, detail and contrast of the gas planet is marvellous, and the backdrop is quite nice too. I think the smaller moons are a little rough in a flat, noisy way though (as if their textures are low resolution). The scene is minimal too - and it works well. But if anything, the gas planet really stands out to me - nicely done. :)

The compositional and lighting elements in this update are far stronger. The gas giant in the original had a pretty washed out atmosphere. I think the atmospheres of your planets could still use more detail, working them up to further the lighting scheme of the piece.
